My Story

I’m a cancer survivor, so I know firsthand just how hard cancer can be.

It’s physically, mentally, spiritually and financially draining — not just for the person going through it, but for the people who love and support them too. So when I think about children and their families having to go through that, it hits differently.

This is my 12th year riding to support kids fighting cancer, and I’m asking for your help more than ever.

Throughout September, I’ll be riding in the Great Cycle Challenge and raising money for Children’s Cancer Research Fund to help support research for better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

I know what support can mean when you’re in the middle of the fight. Every donation matters, no matter the amount.

While Im putting the pedal to the road, I’m asking you to help me reach my fundraising goal and support these kids and their families.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

Every mile has purpose!

Got an early morning ride in today, trying to beat the heat. There is something so peaceful about being out here while the morning was still quiet.

As I rode, I prayed that my efforts would not be in vain; that every drop of sweat and every turn of these pedals would lead to helping a child and a family who needs it. 💗

That’s what keeps me pedaling. That’s the purpose behind every mile.

🔥 12 MILES DOWN! 🚴🏾‍♀️💪🏾

Baby, it was HOOOOTTTTTT out there today! 🥵☀️

I definitely felt every bit of that heat during my 12-mile ride.

But every time I wanted to complain, I reminded myself why I’m doing this.

What I dealt with for 12 miles today is NOTHING compared to what these kids and their families go through fighting cancer. The treatments. The fear. The exhaustion. The uncertainty. Day after day.

So I kept pedaling. 🚴🏾‍♀️

12 miles closer to my goal — and 12 miles for the kids. 🎗️💛

Thank you to everyone supporting my 12th year riding in the Great Cycle Challenge.

Every mile matters.

Every donation matters.

And these kids are worth every single one. 💛
