This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

I was aiming for 30+ to get my total to 75. I tend to be an overachiever. 40.73 miles and I am feeling it. It’s my best output for a two hour ride. And it was sandwiched between a warm up and cool down rides that got me over 40. Needless to say, I am taking the next two days off and will make sure I get in 20, Monday… that’s 100 miles i. The first week!!

It’s hot!! After a close call last season, I’ve decided to ride my Peloton unless Jason’s at the house. And with the projected heat for this week, riding with an industrial fan is still pretty darned hot.
